Resource Conservation Management (RCM) is the practice of reducing the consumption and cost of utility and energy related resources, through no-cost and low-cost modifications. There are two groups involved in achieving the environmental goals.
The O&M staff are the first group as Resource Efficiency Programs require the efficient, effective and economic operation and maintenance of the building facilities. The second group is the occupants - students, teachers, administration, whose lifestyle changes can promote significant cost savings and a healthier, safer environment.
While it is important for these two groups to work together, they require different resources to achieve their goals. |
