This video was created in 2011 as a tool for elementary school students. Students from SC Secondary schools describe why they get involved... you may be surprised to hear some of the reasons. Along with their views, the students provide some
tips on how to create and run a campaign, and how to adapt to changing circumstances, i.e. how not to get discouraged. Many of the students in the video began their first campaign in Grade 5 and have loved every minute of every campaign since that time!

This year all schools in the SCDSB are taking charge of their conservation plans. Every school will have a visit from DES staff and Mark Gervais, the SCDSB Energy Coordinator. During the visit, the school conservation team will hear about a new video "Live the Change" made just for SCDSB that will be shared with all members of the school. The team will learn how to develop a School Energy Efficiency Plan and students in one class will audit the school to see how they are dealing with energy water and waste.
